When the Trans Am Series begins the 2013 season it will be taking to the course at Sebring International Raceway for the seventh time, and the first since 2011. That race cumulated in victories for R.J. Lopez (TA) and Gregg Rodgers (TA2). Today’s drivers will be looking to lay claim to the first points of the season as the chase for 2013 Trans Am championships begins once again. Drivers, teams and crews have been preparing for months, now they get to lay it all on the line. With practices on Friday, qualifying on Saturday and the race at 2:30 est on Sunday, Trans Am presents a full weekend of pure adrenalin driven racing.
Joining Trans Am will be SVRA, the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association. Included in the event will be optional track touring time, a 60th anniversary birthday part and car show for the Chevrolet Corvette and other activities.
