Ruman Heads South to VIR SpeedTour after a 4th at CTMP

Munroe Falls, Ohio - The Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli is heading south to VIRginia International Raceway (VIR) in Danville, VA, this weekend to head into the final stretch of the 2025 season.

Returning to the Canadian track after eleven years, Ruman took a fourth-place finish back to the States during Labor Day weekend’s Round 9 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (CTMP) in Bowmanville, CA after qualifying fifth.

This weekend, Trans Am drivers will run the 3.27-mile “full course” 18-turn configuration, featuring high speed straightaways and dramatic elevation changes at the notorious road course. Last year, Ruman drove the No. 23 McNichols Co./Valley Automotive Group Chevrolet Corvette to a podium third-place finish at VIR.

“VIR is such a cool track and always a favorite of ours to race at. The fans here are top notch, and we love to put on a great show for them. Weather is looking stellar so I’m looking forward to having an awesome weekend. The season is winding down, so I’m focused on having some solid finishes,” commented Ruman.

As part of the 2025 SpeedTour, Trans Am is running in conjunction with the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) providing a packed weekend with many activities for fans to participate in. Forty-five competitors are entered across all classes for the weekend, with seven running in Ruman’s TA class. Testing, practices, and qualifying will take place Thursday through Sunday. The CUBE 3 Architecture TA2® Series race will be Saturday, September 20th at 12:35pm. The Trans Am TA/XGT/SGT/GT feature will be Sunday at 1:00pm ET, with a fan walk on pit lane beginning at 12:20pm ET. Both races are 31-laps (102-mi/ or 75 min) – all times listed are ET.
