Victory and Brilliant Strategy Results in Win for Andretti and Burtin Racing at Trans Am Barber Motorsport Park

Birmingham, ALABAMA – October 20, 2025 – Adam Andretti scored his first win of the 2025 Trans Am Series Championship presented by Pirelli in dramatic fashion, coming out on top after a prolonged battle with chief rival Paul Menard at Barber Motorsports Park. In a suspenseful race, Adam made a late race charge and gained ground over the final laps to get alongside Menard. The lead switched hands several times as the two Championship challengers diced wheel-to-wheel before Adam was able to put Menard behind him and clear away for the win. At the checkered flag, there was just 1.029 between the two drivers in first and second.
“A season long highlight reel for Adam Andretti” and “A phenomenal drive” opined the commentary team, with viewers adding their praise in the online comments. As he climbed out of the cockpit in the Trans Am victory circle, Adam banged the roof of the No. 17 TOP LINER® / Service Partners Burtin Racing Chevrolet Camaro and tried to kiss his wife Tabitha while still wearing his helmet! The Burtin Racing team were all smiles with well-deserved celebrations at Barber Motorsport Park for tremendous teamwork and the dedicated leadership of Claudio Burtin.
As Adam was speaking to Trans Am track reporter Ben Cissell immediately after the race he said, “This is amazing. This is a win that myself and this team needed about five races ago but obviously better late than never! My uncle [Mario Andretti] always tells me our family are kind of late bloomers, so perhaps we had a kind of late blooming season. We’re catching momentum to take into the 2026 season.”
He also generously referenced the race fans at track, “Thank you to all the fans that are here and all the fans that tuned in. Everybody that supports us. Burtin Racing is an amazing group to work with plus TOP LINER® and Service Partners."
Adam was over 20 seconds down on Paul Menard when he began his charge, a comeback rivalled only by Parnelli Jones at Riverside in 1970 when he started down the grid. On a historic day, Adam went on, “You have to earn these accolades in Trans Am. For Paul and I to race that clean on worn out rain tires that are hot, that shows a great deal of professionalism and respect.”
The Burtin Racing driver qualified on the second row of the grid in P3 with a time of 1:22:300. He scored 107 points for his win making a total of 1042. Today was a real showcase for the unique excitement Trans Am racing offers at premium race tracks across North America.
