Championship Countdown - Brody Goble: CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series Western Championship

After winning the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series Western Championship title in 2023, Brody Goble sat on the sidelines for the 2024 season, selling his car after the birth of his first child. But when the opportunity came to get back behind the wheel, the native of Surrey, British Columbia knew where he wanted to be.

“I had a hard look in the offseason,” said Goble. “I knew we could buy any car we wanted to buy, and at the end of the day, I bought another TA2 car. I'm super excited to be here again, it’s so awesome to be back here and see my extended family in the pits.”

Purchasing an M1 Racecar from TeamSLR to run with his Brown Bros. Racing team, it didn’t take long for the past champion to return to winning form, as he drove to Victory Lane from the pole in the season opener at Buttonwillow Raceway Park.

Goble finished second at Sonoma Raceway, then went on to win three straight races from the point position in his No. 69 Brown Bros. Ford Lincoln Ford Mustang at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and the two races in the doubleheader at Portland International Raceway.

“Everything went to plan this entire weekend,” said Goble while accepting his second trophy of the weekend. “We unloaded the Brown Bros. Racing Ford Mustang from TeamSLR and M1 and we really didn't make a ton of changes all weekend long. It just was fine tuning on Friday and we felt like we were in a good spot. In both races, the Nitro guys and gals raced pretty hard on those first few laps and we just kept our head down and didn't drive it off or do anything dumb. It was an awesome weekend. It's so cool to do the doubleheader and get both of them. Hats off to my team for putting me into a reliable car.”

After claiming the pole and setting a new track record at Thunderhill Raceway Park, engine gremlins came for Goble in Race 1, and the ninth-place result was his only finish of the season that didn’t end on the podium. He rebounded in Race 2, taking the checkered flag for the fifth time in 2025. The victory was enough for him to clinch the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series championship for the second time in his career, becoming the first person in the history of the Western Championship to win two TA2 titles.

“Just being the first two-time champion is pretty cool,” said Goble. “That was pretty special to be one-of-one in that category there. The Western Championship has taught us a lot. We have run for only two full seasons, and we've done well out West, obviously. We’ve wondered for two years now how we stack up against all the [National] guys and girls, and I think we really stack up if we race head-to-head.”

Goble proved just that in the season finale at Circuit of The Americas, where he opted to compete in the National Championship. He finished third in the race, proving that he did, in fact, stack up. We hope to see the two-time title winner move to the National Championship in 2026 and compete for that crown.
