Mooresville, NC (January 15, 2026) — Stanton Barrett Motorsports (SBM) is zooming into the 2026 season with momentum, expanded partnerships, fresh talent and a packed racing schedule across multiple premier series. Driven by growth both on and off the track, SBM continues to solidify its presence as a dynamic force in motorsports with a multi-faceted approach to business and racing.
Owner and driver of SBM, Stanton Barrett, will compete full-time in the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli (CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series) piloting the No. 88 Ford Mustang. Barrett’s return to the TA track is eagerly awaited—his last appearance in the series came in 2017, when he set a pole and track record at Homestead-Miami Speedway. With proven speed and disciplined craft, Barrett is poised to contend for wins throughout the upcoming season.
“I am excited to start 2026 with continued growth of the SBM organization with a variety of talented drivers and supportive sponsors in an industry I love,” Barrett said.
Powering the No. 88 Mustang is Acellis 8T8 Elite Energy Drink, SBM’s primary season sponsor.
“As a veteran driver, Stanton understands that success in racing demands much more than horsepower,” said Acellis Director Quinn Matthews. “It requires sharp mental focus, rapid perception, decisive reasoning and the ability to execute split-second reactions under intense physical strain. 8T8 Elite Energy Drink, is designed to support this high-performance lifestyle, whether you are racing high-performance cars or living a high-performance life.”
SBM also proudly welcomes Graham Jacobson as the team’s newest TA2 driver. The 17-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia began his motorsports career in karting throughout the Southeast. Since transitioning to auto racing last year, he has earned podiums and pole positions across multiple series and cars, including Radicals, Miatas, and GT4.
“I am super excited to be running in TA2 with Stanton Barrett Motorsports,” Jacobson said. “I have high hopes for my rookie campaign and I’m fortunate to be able to run a full season with such a reputable team. Can’t wait to see what’s to come for the future!” Coaching young talent and creating clear pathways to success remain cornerstones of the SBM philosophy, providing aspiring drivers with expert guidance, competitive opportunities and professional growth within the sport.
Beyond Trans Am, SBM is expanding its footprint in stock car motorsports through a new partnership with Cope Family Racing, forming Barrett Cope Racing for the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. This affiliate relationship not only adds to the powerful reach of SBM, but it also puts Barrett in another driver’s seat for selected races.
In addition to its primary focuses, SBM continues to cultivate involvement in the World Racing League and Historic Sportscar Racing, highlighting the team’s broad competitive vision and passion for diverse forms of racing.
SBM’s wide-reaching presence in the racing community allows the team to attract the sport’s best talent while building strategic partnerships for continued success.
