Mike Cope Racing Signs Jace Denmark for 2026
February 18, 2026
Sebring, FL (February 17, 2026)— Mike Cope Racing has announced that 21-year-old Jace Denmark will be joining the team line up in 2026, marking Denmark’s rookie season in the Racing America Trans Am CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series Championship campaign.
Jace has a decorated resume regarding the highest levels of American open wheel racing including his USF Pro 2000 championship in 2024 finishing 2nd, earning a win and multiple podiums. In his USF Pro 2000 rookie season, Jace earned three podiums and one pole. The previous year was his second season competing in the USF2000 Championship Presented by Continental Tire which resulted in four wins, nine podiums and ten top 10s.
New drivers are a common theme in Trans Am TA2; however, coming from a high level of open wheel racing is something fresh for the series. Jace noted his enthusiasm with the signing as the upcoming season approaches.
“Super excited to start my relationship with Mike Cope Racing for the 2026 CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 series,” said Denmark. “I can’t wait to start the work needed to make our season great with the great group of people that surround Mike Cope. Moving to a completely different discipline of driving is an exciting step in my career and will only make me better.”
Mike Cope, team owner and CEO, is just as enthusiastic to add the young talent of Denmark to the team.
“We are all excited about putting together this deal at what seems like the last minute, but it’s something we’ve been talking about for quite some time,” explained Cope. “Tonis Kasemets is a good friend of Jace’s and really believes in him, as we do. Tonis ran our cars for Newman-Wachs Racing with Brian Halahan and did one heck of a job. I’m looking for Jace to run very well and add strength to the Pro National Tour side of our team.”
“Thomas Merrill contends for wins week in and week out, and we will now have two cars capable of winning on any given weekend. We have that covered on the Pro Am side of things already with Keith, Tom and Jim. Now I feel like we have covered all our bases.”
The season opener for the Racing America Trans Am presented by Pirelli CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 series is February 26th to March 1st at Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, FL. Practice and Qualifying are set for Saturday, February 28th with the main event on Sunday, March 1st at 1:30pm EST.
