Vinnie Meskelis Joins Nitro Motorsports for Six TA2 Events in 2026

Mooresville, NC — February 26, 2026 — Nitro Motorsports is proud to announce that Vinnie Meskelis will join the team for six events during the 2026 Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli TA2 championship, beginning this weekend at Sebring International Raceway. Meskelis will pilot a Nitro Motorsports entry in the highly competitive TA2 class, one of North America’s premier road racing categories and a cornerstone of the Trans Am platform.
Meskelis brings a well-rounded and accomplished racing résumé to the Nitro Motorsports program. With experience spanning GT and sports car competition, he has earned podium finishes and developed a reputation for consistency and racecraft at the national level. His background includes competing on some of the most demanding road courses in North America, beginning at the karting level and moving through the Spec Miata program, preparing him well for the challenge that lies ahead in Trans Am. Additionally, in 2026 Meskelis will take part in the NASCAR Euro Series, broadening his motorsports efforts.

Additional race dates for Meskelis’ 2026 TA2 campaign with Nitro Motorsports on top of the Sebring International Raceway event this weekend include the Sonoma Raceway and Watkins Glen International doubleheaders, and the famed Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
