Brandon Hampson Prepares for TA2 Showdown at Watkins Glen

Watkins Glen, NY — July 12, 2025 Brandon Hampson is set to take on the full field of Trans Am CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series competitors at the upcoming race at Watkins Glen International—a track he knows well, but a challenge unlike any he's faced before.

“I’ve raced everything from shifter karts to ARCA trucks, but this is a dream and a true test of my abilities,” says Hampson. “I’m probably the biggest underdog in the field, but I’m here to be competitive and drive the wheels off this car once I find my rhythm. It's a big difference from iRacing and Gran Turismo and Forza and NASCAR Heat, but I've mastered those games and I'm looked at as a feared competitor. I'm usually 1st or 2nd in every road course lobby I go into. My gamertag is @Dontbaloser999 for my fans or friends. I just love all road courses with a passion and love the figuring out how to shave off time and the art of feeding throttle etc. It's just now or never for me, as I'm getting older and I'm here to seize the opportunity and see if I belong and can come back to SGT next year or do two races next year, possibly."

“This race is personal,” Hampson adds. “It’s redemption for last year after a 53-lap test with Adrian Wlostowski, and it’s dedicated to the friends, family, and loved ones and also ones I've lost along the way.”

For Hampson, this is also a milestone: his first race with a sponsor—Atlantic AutoMall and Atlantic Toyota, where he’s proud to be employed. “It means a lot to represent a company that supports me both on and off the track.”

A longtime fan of Trans Am and Trans Am legends like Scott Sharp, Jack Baldwin, the Archer brothers, Ron Fellows, and Dorsey Schroeder, Hampson says he’s in awe of the current TA2 field.

“These drivers are incredibly talented—no ABS, no traction control, hardly any PS just raw skill. I’m honored to share the track with them.”
