Burtin Racing Secures Second-Place Finish at Watkins Glen Trans Am SpeedTour

Watkins Glen, NEW YORK – July 14, 2025 – Burtin Racing delivered a stellar performance at the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli’s 50th race at Watkins Glen International, with driver Adam Andretti piloting the No. 17 TOP LINER Chevrolet Camaro to an impressive second-place finish in the TA class on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

In a thrilling 100-mile race, Andretti showcased his skill and determination on the iconic 3.4-mile, 11-turn circuit. Starting from the second position, Andretti seized the lead at the green flag, overtaking Chris Dyson and building a commanding 10-car-length advantage early on.

He maintained the lead for the first nine laps, fending off challenges from a competitive field. A fierce battle ensued with points leader Paul Menard, who made a pass on Lap 17 after Andretti’s slight mistake exiting the boot. Despite the setback, Andretti stayed in close pursuit, engaging in a dramatic cat-and-mouse chase until the checkered flag, securing his sixth podium of the 2025 season and tying Menard for the most podium finishes this year.

“We’re thrilled with the performance of the TOP LINER car at Watkins Glen,” said Claudio Burtin, Team Principal of Burtin Racing. “Adam drove an incredible race, leading early and battling at the front throughout. This second-place finish is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, and we’re proud to carry the TOP LINER colors on this historic stage.”

With this result, Burtin Racing solidifies its strong standing in the 2025 Trans Am TA class championship, holding second place in the standings with just 31 points separating Andretti from the leader, Paul Menard. With four events remaining in the season, including the upcoming round at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, the team is poised to capitalize on its momentum and challenge for the championship title. Burtin Racing’s consistent performance, backed by its experienced crew and cutting-edge engineering, positions the team as a formidable contender as the season progresses.

Burtin Racing’s strong showing at Watkins Glen builds on their storied history at the track, which includes victories in 2017 with Andy Lally and 2018 with Tomy Drissi.
