Championship Countdown - Kaylee Bryson: XGT National Championship

In 2025, Kaylee Bryson made the jump to the XGT class in the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli, moving up from the SGT class after winning that title in 2024. Bryson started off the season on the podium, finishing second at Sebring International Raceway, before following that up with a top-five finish at Road Atlanta.

After taking a short hiatus from the series to focus on her efforts in other racing disciplines, Bryson returned to action at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in June, taking her first-career XGT victory despite battling a cam sensor issue throughout the race.

“It’s been a minute since I’ve been in the car, so I’m really enjoying being on the top step of this podium,” said after the Mid-Ohio victory, expressing appreciation for her team’s effort in sorting through mechanical challenges.

Bryson collected her second victory the following weekend at Road America, showing just how much she learned and how much quicker her No. 02 Logical Systems Inc. Chevrolet Corvette had become after transitioning to an XGT-eligible car.

“We had an absolutely amazing race, we were actually five seconds quicker in this car than we were last year,” said Bryson. “It's really cool to make a difference like that and make our car quicker. You know, our car used to be on the streets several years ago, so to turn it into a racecar is really cool. My team does a phenomenal job, and they work their butts off making this car fast. So, to come back here and run a 2:11 in that car is really special. It’s really awesome for my team. I’m really, really thankful for my sponsors, LSI Racing, and everybody that's working on this car. They're doing an amazing job.”

Bryson finished on the podium at VIRginia International Raceway, earning a third-place finish. Her consistency this season paid off at the penultimate round at Barber Motorsports Park. She took the early lead and ran near the front for most of the event before a late loss of oil pressure relegated her to third place. Even so, the result was enough to clinch the 2025 XGT championship, making Bryson the first female driver in Trans Am history to win titles in two different classes (SGT and XGT).

“That was really fun, and my team did a great job on the car,” said Bryson on the podium. “Unfortunately, we lost oil pressure there at the end of the race, but we had a good run going for a really long time. I can't thank LSI Logical Systems enough for all their support all year long. I’m so glad we could clinch the championship.”
