Helio Meza Continues Dominant CUBE 3 TA2 Series Run with Road Atlanta Pole
March 13, 2026
All preliminary on-track action for the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli’s CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series event at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta is complete from Braselton, Georgia.
Helio Meza, the 18-year-old rising star that captured the victory in the CUBE 3 TA2 Series’ season-opener at Sebring International Raceway, has put his No. 28 Alessandros Racing / Team SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro on the pole for Saturday afternoon’s event.
The Spring, Texas-native laid down a dominant lap time in qualifying on Friday, besting second-place qualifier and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular Andres Perez de Lara, by more than half a second over the course of a single lap.
Meza is attempting to further extend what is already a record-breaking streak in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series, having been to Victory Lane in each of his first two events – Circuit of The Americas (COTA) last November, and the season-opener at Sebring International Raceway earlier this month.
In both of those events, Meza started from the front of the field, but since both of those qualifying sessions were axed due to inclement weather (and the lineups were set by practice speeds), this will technically be Meza’s first pole in the CUBE 3 TA2 Series.
Andres Perez de Lara (No. 8 Team SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro) will start from second-place, with Adrian Wlostowski (No. 3 CMI / Spot-On Services / AMT Motorsports Ford Mustang) in third-place. Meza, Perez de Lara, and Wlostowski were the only three drivers to run laps in the 82-second bracket.
Noah Harmon (No. 7 CUBE 3 / Highpoint Rockets Chevrolet Camaro) and Rafa Matos (No. 12 Concord American Flag Pole / CNA Ford Mustang) rounded out the top-five in qualifying.
Meza was also the fastest driver in Friday’s practice session, further asserting his dominance over the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series field. However, Alon Day (No. 17 JSSI / Team SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro), his closest adversary, was able to get within a half of a tenth of a second of Meza’s fastest time. Day crashed late in the practice session, though, and his Team SLR crew was unable to get his car repaired in time for qualifying.
The Ashdod, Israel-native will start 31st on the grid in Saturday’s 40-lap (or 75 minute, whichever comes first) event.
Jared Odrick (No. 00 Black Underwear / Helium Mobile Chevrolet Camaro) was the quickest of the CUBE 3 TA2 Series PRO/AM drivers in both practice (where he ranked 11th-overall) and qualifying (where he ranked 12th-overall). With a lap time of 1:24.311 seconds, Odrick was six tenths of a second faster than the second-best PRO/AM driver, Roberto Sabato (No. 61 6th Gear Racing Ford Mustang).
Keith Prociuk (No. 9 HP Tuners / Cope Race Cars Ford Mustang), Cale Phillips (No. 99 Micey’s Graphics / SNP Inc. Ford Mustang) and Patrick Paul (No. 44 Nexgen Chevrolet Camaro) rounded out the top-five in the PRO/AM Class.
Coverage of the race will take place Saturday, March 14 (tomorrow) at 12:45 PM ET.
