Lawerence, Andretti and Archer Riding the Storm Out at VIR
October 5, 2015
PARTNER RELEASE: Howe TA2 drivers have lead the way through the rain in the last two Trans Am events at Road America and VIR. It was Tony Ave and Cameron Lawrence coming out on top at Road America followed by the duo of Cameron Lawrence and Adam Andretti at a very soggy VIR.
Not far behind the leaders lurked the bright blue Howe Camaro of the former IMSA and SCCA World Challenge champion Tommy Archer. With the cancelation of qualifying Archer had to work through not only the TA2 field but also through many of the powerful TA cars who were struggling to get a grip on the rain soak circuit. The seven time IIRA Ice Racing Champion ran as high as third but slid back to a still impressive fourth at the finish. Archer also collected the $850 Howe Long Haul Contingency Award by traveling 1,234 miles from Duluth, Minnesota to Alton, Virginia. He is the ninth different recipient of the Howe Contingency Award. The Howe Long Haul Award winners are determined by the travel distance from each driver's home town to the track address. Each driver may only receive the award once per season.
Howe Racing Enterprises was founded in 1971 and has been involved in the TA2 class since its inception in 2011. Howe produces a wide variety of specialized racing components in addition to partial and complete cars for asphalt racing worldwide.
