PAUL FIX, KING OF THE ROCK

(Team Release) SALISBURY, Conn. (September 20, 2014) - In what can only be classified as a dominating performance, Paul Fix took control of the Lime Rock Park weekend from the onset leading each practice session and qualifying in the number one spot, to then cap the weekend off with a second consecutive race victory in the No. 4 Stopflex.com/Tony Ave Racing Chevrolet Corvette. Enroute to the winner’s circle, Fix established a new course record time for the Trans Am Series at Lime Rock. Fix led every tour of the Lime Rock circuit, all 67 laps, and led the field by several seconds.

Said Fix of the successful weekend, “I have to give credit to the Tony Ave Racing crew. They unloaded a simply brilliant race car. We were fast every session and the car ran flawlessly.”

At the drop of the green flag Fix eased away to a six second gap back to the group of competitors. Following a yellow flag situation, once green again, Fix pulled ahead and maintained a comfortable distance on the field to the checkered flag. The victory under dry conditions follows Fix’s 2013 win at Lime Rock in the wet, earning him the moniker of King of The Rock.

“To follow up last year’s win in the rain with a victory in the dry is a great feeling,” said Fix. “I truly believe it showcases our abilities to get the job done regardless of circumstances. It’s such a pleasure to be a part of the effort and go two for two.”

Offered Tony Ave of the weekend’s results, ”What can I say? Once again Paul showed why he is the class of the field. To arrive and perform the way he did says it all. He deserves all the accolades.”

“I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the Trans Am Series. The winner’s trophy by Crystal Sensations and the track’s silver cup for a new track record will find a spot on the bookshelf,” said Fix.

Next up for Paul Fix and the Trans Am Series is the September 28th race at Virginia International Raceway. Fix will look to capitalize on his momentum from Lime Rock and once again take the top step of the podium.
