Paul Fix Eyes Trifecta As Season Comes To Conclusion

Williamsville, NY (November 11, 2014)- Paul Fix and the #4 Stopflex.com/Tony Ave Racing Chevrolet Corvette will venture to the hallowed grounds of Daytona International Speedway looking to add the third consecutive Crystal Sensations winner’s trophy to the mantle. Fix will seek to complete a clean sweep of the weekend’s event, garnering Fix a trifecta that has not been accomplished in the Trans Am Series. The #4 Corvette will unload at Daytona coming off back to back wins at Lime Rock and VIR.
“I pretty much enter every event the same,“ said Fix. “That is to sit atop the time sheet for every session. The Tony Ave Racing crew do a fantastic job of preparing the car and I know for Daytona they will be ready. The entire team is looking forward to the prospect of tripling up wins.”
While the last two rounds of the 2014 championship have been on natural terrain road courses, the event at Daytona will see Fix and the rest of the competitors take to the high banks of the famous roval course. Car setup will be key as the venue layout is different than what the Trans Am series competes on.
Said Fix, “I have an uncanny ability to learn and adapt at new race tracks. This will enable us to get a setup on the car quickly and focus on the task at hand of running for the win.”
“The team has worked hard to deliver a fast car this week,” said Tony Ave. “We feel we have an understanding of the new roval tire and the guys are excited to give Paul what he needs to earn a third straight victory.”
Fix currently sits eleventh in points. A win at this weekend’s Daytona season finale could move Fix into the top ten. Given Fix will have only competed in the last three races of the season, makes his performance this year is all the more impressive.
Trans Am will see action at Daytona International Speedway on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. EST for practice, followed by a second practice later in the day at 4:45 p.m. Qualifying will take place on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. in perpetration for Round 11 of the 2014 Trans Am Championship at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday November 15, 2014.
