Pickett, McAllister, Eagleton top the timesheets in Trans Am West first practice at PIR

There were no surprises down the order in today’s first practice for the Trans Am Presented by Pirelli West Coast Championship race at Portland International Raceway. In cool temperatures and under cloudy skies, veteran Greg Pickett was easily quickest after just a handful of laps, notching a 1:13.450 best, his Pickett Racing Ford Mustang showing no ill-effects from its spin into the barriers in Friday testing.
Simon Gregg (Derhaag Motorsports Chevrolet Corvette), with a 1:14.929, and an impressive Michelle Nagai (Berkeley Jet Drive Chevrolet Corvette), 1:15.190, rounded out the top three in the TA class.

The two GT-class runners finished just two-tenths of a second apart, Roger Eagleton (Five Star Property Management/Energy Real Estate Ford Mustang) edging Beau Borders (APEX Race Parts.CorteX Racing Ford Mustang), 1:25.404 to 1:25.666.
