 Quebec's Montour Takes the Long Haul at Road Atlanta

PARTNER RELEASE Stevens-Miller Racing driver Louis Philippe Montour has been awarded the Howe Racing Enterprises Long Haul Award for Road Atlanta. In only his second race with Trans Am the native of St. Donat, Quebec, Canada has already collected two top ten finishes with a fifth place at Sebring followed by a Sixth place finish at Atlanta. The former Viper racer is also currently tied for the lead in the rookie points standings.

Veteran Tommy Archer put in another impressive performance in route to finishing second in is his bright blue Howe Camaro. Archer had to work the corners flawlessly to finish as the top Chevrolet in the caution free sprint. Archer and Montour were among six Howe cars to finish in a top ten that included the Dodge Challenger of Adam Andretti and the Camaros of Harry Steenbakkers, Shane Lewis and Jordan Bernloehr. Robinson set a track record with the fastest lap of the race before falling back to eleventh due to a power steering failure.

The Howe Long Haul Award goes to the driver that is competing in a Howe chassis who has traveled the greatest distance. Each team may only win the $850 product award once during the 12 event season. In addition a $1,000 check and a custom built Iron Mule trophy will be awarded to the TA2 team that travels the most total miles during the season.

Howe Racing Enterprises was founded in 1971 and has been involved in the TA2 class since its inception in 2011. Howe produces a wide variety of specialized racing components in addition to partial and complete cars for asphalt racing worldwide.
