Sheehan Sets Course for Watkins Glen with Vixen Cycle and Go LTK

Watkins Glen, NEW YORK – August 22, 2024 - This weekend, August 22 – 25, the storied tarmac of Watkins Glen International will once again reverberate with the thunderous roar of Trans Am racecars. A circuit rich for automotive prowess, the track’s demanding layout, punctuated by high-speed sweeps and dramatic elevation changes, promises to be a formidable adversary for even the most accomplished drivers.
Tom Sheehan and the No. 97 Vixen Cycle LTK Mustang are back in the ring, and it appears a tight battle for the championship podium in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series for the Mike Cope backed team. Sheehan currently sits in second place of the 20 Pro Am entrants.
“We have two back-to-back races coming up with the Glen this weekend and Mosport,” said Sheehan. “I am excited to get back into the TA2 car, Watkins Glen is my favorite track, and I can’t wait to get back on it. The weather has improved in the northeast, it has been dryer and cooler. I have been trying to get out on the motorcycles as much as possible! Vixen Motorcycle has had a great summer with tremendous support for the riding community. I am going to enjoy every moment of the next two race weekends, the Mike Cope crew is ready, the team is poised for a great couple of weeks.”
The Trans Am presented by Pirelli official practice for TA2 is set for Thursday, Aug 22 at 4:25pm ET with the split group qualification rounds happening Friday, Aug 23 at 12pm ET.
Get ready for elevated heartbeats as the green flag is scheduled to drop on Friday, Aug 23 at 4pm ET for 30 laps or 75-minutes.
