Sheehan Wins Howe Long Haul at Brainerd

PARTNER RELEASE - TA2 veteran Tom Sheehan has been awarded the Howe long haul Award for making the 1,504-milelong trip northwest to Brainerd, Minnesota from his home in Bow, New Hampshire. Sheehan started the race with a very competitive car unfortunately, power steering woes caused a drop out of the top ten to eleventh place.
The Howe Camaros of Gar Robinson and Tommy Archer finished first and second advancing Robinson into the lead in championship points. Archer had another impressive drive maneuvering from fifth to second place on the final lap.
So far in 2016 Five different drivers have received the Howe Long haul award starting with Leo Voyazides for Sebring then Louis Philippe Montour at Road Atlanta, Gar Robinson Watkins Glen and Shane Lewis at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
The Howe Long Haul Award goes to the driver that is competing in a Howe chassis who has traveled the greatest distance to each event. Each team may only win the $850 product award once during the season. In addition a $1,000 check and a custom built Iron Mule trophy will be awarded to the TA2 team that travels the most total miles during the season.
Howe Racing Enterprises was founded in 1971 and has been involved in the TA2 class since its inception in 2011. Howe produces a wide variety of specialized racing components in addition to partial and complete cars for asphalt racing worldwide.
