February 13, 2026
Williamsville, New York – February 10, 2026 – Experienced Trans Am competitor Paul Fix today announced his return to the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli for the 2026 season, for the championship's landmark 60th anniversary.
Paul Fix, a veteran competitor in American road racing, first debuted in the SCCA Pro Trans Am Series in 2000 at Road America and has since built an impressive resume over more than two decades. The New York-based driver has earned multiple race victories, numerous podium finishes, and strong championship contention in the highly competitive TA class—including a standout 2016 season with five wins. He currently ranks among the top all-time Trans Am winners and has also competed successfully in IMSA, ALMS, and other professional series.
After selective appearances in recent years, Fix is excited to make a full-time return to the series that helped define his professional career.
"The Trans Am Series is where it all began for me back in 2000, and returning for its 60th anniversary season feels incredibly special," said Fix. "This series has such rich history as America's original road racing series, and I'm thrilled to be part of celebrating that legacy while competing at the front of the field again. The cars are fantastic, the competition is as strong as ever, and I can't wait to get back behind the wheel."
The 2026 Trans Am schedule starts with the season opener at Sebring International Raceway on February 26th - March 1st, followed by a mix of iconic venues including Road Atlanta, Sonoma Raceway, and a return to Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Plus multiple doubleheader events to mark the milestone year. The series continues to showcase powerful V8-powered machines in the classic American muscle tradition.
Fix will compete in the premier TA class, driving a Mustang prepared by Ave Motorsports. Ave and Fix have partnered numerous times over his racing career in Trans Am, ISMA, and other series. Fix said, "I'm very excited to partner with Ave Motorsports again. We've had many years of success together, and I believe we have the winning formula for Trans Am's 60th season."
"I'm grateful for the continued support from my family, sponsors, and fans who have followed my racing journey throughout the years," Fix added. "2026 is already shaping up to be an unforgettable year, and I'm ready to chase wins and add to the championship's storied legacy."
