We’ll Never Forget
September 9, 2021
New York – The F.A.S.T. Auto Racing team is looking forward to The Trans Am presented by Pirelli and the
weekend’s double header at their home track, Watkins Glenn International. The New York race weekend also
marks the 20 th anniversary of the attacks of 9-11 that devastated their city and shocked the nation.
The F.A.S.T. Auto Racing team owner and driver of the No. 3 Hawk Performance Camaro, Adrian Wlostowski,
said, “As much as we are all looking forward to racing, the date marks events that we as New Yorkers and
Americans can never forget. It will be good to have family and friends around us and be focused on racing. But
yes, the events of 9-11 are something that will be in the back of our minds this weekend.”
F.A.S.T Auto Racing team member and driver of the No. 98A D&M Electrical Contracting Inc. Camaro Doug
Winston said, "Watkins Glen has always been a special place for me. I did my first track day at the Glen, won
one of my first club races there and did my first Trans Am race there in 2019.
“Despite being four hours away from my home, it’s definitely a “home track” and a place I feel comfortable.
So, I’m really looking forward to this weekend’s doubleheader. There’s also some added significance to racing
in New York for the 20th anniversary of 9-11. I hope to do my part and make this a special weekend for the
entire F.A.S.T Auto Racing family.”
The race will not only be a double header with races both Saturday and Sunday, the races will also include
every category Trans Am has to offer. Trans Am, TA2, XGT and SGT cars will all take the green flag with 41 cars
entered for both days of racing.
Wlostowski said, “The combined races are always difficult. On one hand, TA cars are really quick, but at the
same time we’ll probably be lapping the other categories fairly quickly. After the long break after Nashville,
we’re excited to be at our home track and cannot wait to get to work.
“My No. 3 Hawk Performance, Howe Racing Enterprises, Camaro continues to get better, and we’ve got some
confidence after stringing some top five runs together. On top of that, both Doug and I have a done a lot of
laps here so I'm expecting good things. On the other hand, we’re still pretty new to TA2, so there’s always
some questioning going in. But if our recent performances are any indication, I think our team will have
something for them.”
